RAMADAN DUAS FOR THREE ASHRAS
The long stretch of Ramadan offers Muslims the opportunity to look for salvation with each Ashra addressing its own type of reward. There are three Ashras in Ramadan every one of which has a different dua. The primary Ashra, or 10 days, addresses leniency, the following pardoning and the last salvation from the damnation.
The first 10 days of Ramadan signify Allah’s mercy with the purpose to practice mercy towards other brethren. Here is a dua for first 10 days of Ramadan:
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Rabbi ighfir warham wa anta khayrur raahimeen
O my Lord! Forgive me and have mercy and You are the best, most merciful
Second Ashra Dua
2nd Ashra Dua, also known as ‘Dusre Ashraki Dua’ in Urdu language, is a Supplication which many Muslims recite during the middle 10 days of Ramadan.
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللہَ رَبِّی مِنْ کُلِّ زَنْبٍ وَّ اَتُوْبُ اِلَیْہِ
I seek forgiveness from Allah for all my sins and turn to Him.
Dua for Last 10 days of Ramadan
Third Ashra Dua or Dua for last 10 days of Ramadan, also known as ‘Teesra Ashra ki Dua’ is a Dua for last 10 days of Ramadan and many Muslims around the world recite this during last 10 days of Ramadan.
Prophet (S.A.W.) used to strive hard in worship during the last 10 days of Ramadan as he never did at any other time.
اَللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي مِنَ النَّارِ
O Allah, save me from the fire (Jahannam).
DUAS FOR LAYLAT AL QADR
Known as the Night of Destiny, Laylat Al Qadr remembers the night that the Holy Quran was first uncovered to Prophet Mohammad. Notwithstanding dikhr (recognition of Allah) and recitation of the Quran, a few Muslims perform I'tikaf, an Islamic work on including a time of remaining in a mosque for a few days and committing themselves to adore. The dua to be recounted during Lalat Al Qadr is:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّكَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, [Generous,] You love pardon, so pardon me
I seek forgiveness from Allah, being that there is no god except He, who is living, eternal and I turn towards Him in repentance
